Living
Words by: Cortez
To live life is like to lie,
and say you are fine,
to act as if all is sweet as wine,
not knowing you drank a glass of brine.
To live life is like a forced state,
a struggle to want something your hands create,
brushing off the words they throw in a haste,
and pushes yourself to swallow all the hate.
To live life is like a buyer to a merchant,
you seek what is that you want,
only to be tempted by the gratuitous artifacts at its glorious wake,
let the time pass and ‘Oh God! It was fake!’.
To live life is like a tinker that kept mending,
similar to the things you hunt never-ending,
without knowing rest and continues to huff and be rough,
forgetting that you are more than enough.
To live life is to be simply true,
that people are not bound to be flawless just like you,
accept and understand that life will always have the blues,
yet can also show you various hues.
