After three years of celebrating online, the students from the psychology department of the University of Santo Tomas will finally have their psychology week onsite from February 27 to March 3. The UST Psychology Society, together with the UST Psychology Department, will organize a week-long event entitled, “IMMERSE: Psychology Week 2023.” IMMERSE aims to foster the Psychology students’ active participation in communities, ensure a smooth transition from an online to a face-to-face setup, and strengthen relationships within the psychology community. As a recognized academic organization, UST Psych Soc has consistently upheld its advocacy of spreading mental health awareness by organizing programs and events for students to engage in.

Here is the official list of events that psychology students can participate in:

E-Olympia is an esports tournament where students will compete in digital games such as Mobile Legends, Valorant, and Call of Duty: Mobile. The academic society has started posting for their E-Olympia games, with registration open until February 27.

MuPSYeum, a three-part blog series, will spotlight the works and products produced by Psychology students and will aid them in honing a range of abilities, including creativity. It will include an online zine, workshop livestreams, and bazaar postings, particularly for student entrepreneurs.

SINTA is a roundtable discussion that will address concerns as well as answer questions relevant to family, platonic, and romantic relationships to foster healthy connections.

The PSYcret Potion is a roundtable conversation that aims to dispel myths regarding body dysmorphic and social anxiety disorders by educating participants, identifying difficulties, and addressing them.

PSYaan Ba ‘To Patungo is a webinar that attempts to prepare students and teach them knowledge about the chances waiting for them once they graduate.

The return of an advocacy-driven march and campaign called Mental Health Walk 2023 will highlight the various mental health causes supported by the Thomasian Community.

Three physical booths (sensation, expression, and diversion) make up Coping Outlet, which will support amusing and beneficial coping mechanisms.

Solace through PSYning at Agham is to provide the Thomasian community with entertainment while showcasing the abilities of local up-and-coming musicians and psychologists. A concert in its entirety with invited speakers and guests giving inspiring speeches and sharing their stories.

Buckle up as we IMMERSE into a week full of fun and engaging events! Stay updated and don’t miss out on the latest information to be posted on UST Psychology Society’s social media accounts.
