UST College of Science (CoS) Dean Prof. Rey Donne S. Papa, PhD reminded Thomasian scientist graduates on the valuable contributions of the natural sciences in nation-building during the CoS solemn investiture rites held last June 15 at the Quadricentennial Pavilion.
He emphasized the importance of the role of Filipino scientists in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and encouraged the graduates to also contribute to this ambition.
The dean also expressed confidence and faith in the competence and capabilities of the graduates while also reminding them to always choose good over excellence in their commitments as a scientist.
Dean Papa reminded the graduates to always uphold Thomasian values by choosing to act according to conscience and the Christian faith and respecting all creation.
A total of 607 Thomasian scientist graduates were conferred with their degrees during the solemn investiture. They are part of the over 7700 Thomasians graduating this June and July.
