UST Secretary-General and College of Science (CoS) Rector Rev. Fr. Louie R. Coronel, O.P. presided over the celebration of the 4th Sunday of Easter and 8th monthly college mass at the Santisimo Rosario Parish Church this April 22, 2024.
Fr. Coronel delved into the ways of enjoying and fulfilling our days in this world. “We have different ways to share love and faith with others, and some of it is through science.”
Students were also graced with the gospel of the Good Shepherd since yesterday, April 21, was Good Shepherd Sunday. Fr. Coronel discussed how we are like sheeps. “People are stubborn, and sometimes lost [...] yet sheep always listen to their shepherd like us listening to God,” he said. He also emphasized that there is nothing wrong with failing and it is just part of being a student. “God loves us unconditionally, His love remains even if we fail.”
To end his homily, he encouraged the parishioners to always open their hearts to the plans of God. “Hinahanap tayo ng Panginoon pero minsan, mahirap tayong hanapin dahil nagtatago tayo sa kanya.”
The Eucharistic celebration ended with the blessings of April birthday celebrants, academic staff, support staff, and students.
