High school students from different schools also participated in the Science week's exhibits and booths as part of the CoS' Open Science: Outreach, Partnership, Empowerment, and Networking

Students from the Montalban Heights National High School and Kasiglahan Village Senior High School participated in Science Week 2024 activities during the implementation of Open Science: Outreach, Partnership, Empowerment, and Networking with the UST College of Science (CoS) last March 19, 2024.

The participants attended some of the departmental lectures and alternative classes organized by the various academic departments.

The students also participated in the booths and exhibits prepared by CoS students.

Community Development (CommDev) and advocacy heads, members, and volunteers from the College of Science Student Council (CSSC) and CoS organizations facilitated the implementation of the event.

Volunteers also toured the students around the Main Building and the campus, sharing history, information, and stories about the university, especially the college.

Open Science is a community development activity that “involves sharing scientific knowledge with the public, particularly [the college’s] partner communities.”
