are you made of my ashes?

My love tastes sweet, but your betrayal is bitter.

when you call yourself a hero in your myth
do you ever think you were a villain in my history?

when you stab my soul with your dagger
does it pierce through your heart and pride?
does its poison fester on your rotten insides?

if my ceased life is what you desire,
why do you still tear my wake flowers?
why do you still flower your tears in my wake?

when you set my remains on fire
why can you not grant rest to the deceased?
why can you not send my embers in peace?

and when you fear my wraith every evening,
do you hear my wrath in your nightmares screaming?

I pour my rage out to the aether
for I will not stay calm.

you know I can never be calm.

My love no longer exists, but your betrayal rests bitter.
